AHBİB Russia Delegation and Bulgur Promotion Events Held in Moscow

AHBİB organised a Russian Sectoral Trade Delegation to coincide with the Food and Beverage Fair in Moscow. As part of the delegation, the Moscow Trade Office was visited and information about the Russian market was obtained from Chief Trade Counsellors Çiğdem Ş. Erkoç and Kadir Sarıkaya, and Trade Counsellor Ahmet O. Öztürk. AHBİB member companies had the opportunity to examine products in the market and visited the Russian company Grande Trade.
As part of the Bulgur Turquality Project, AHBİB ChairmanVeysel Memiş shared the thousands of years of Anatolian heritage and the healthy and sustainable nature of Turkish bulgur with the Russian public at a press conference held in Moscow. The meeting addressed bulgur's compatibility with Russian cuisine, its contribution to healthy living trends, the increase in exports, and promotional strategies. This year's campaign motto was set as “Turkish Bulgur on Russian Tables”. Chairman Memiş continued his project-related contacts in Moscow by giving interviews to a radio programme and an RBK tv reporter. Discussions covered the healthy composition of Turkish bulgur, its compatibility with Russian cuisine, export targets, and opportunities for commercial cooperation. At a tasting event organised as part of the project, renowned chef Arda Türkmen presented special dishes prepared with Turkish bulgur to the participants. The event was also attended by Tanju Bilgiç, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Moscow.
