Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Sector Represented at Foodist Istanbul 2026
The Foodist Istanbul International Food and Beverage Products Fair was held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center on 1–4 September 2026. The Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters’ Association participated in the fair under the umbrella of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Sector Board.
Held with the support of the Türkiye Food Platform, the fair brought together manufacturers and exporters with international buyers, distributors, retailers, and industry professionals. Throughout the event, meetings and business contacts were held with a view to promoting Türkiye’s food production and export capacity in international markets.
The opening program featured addresses by Prof. Dr. Ömer BOLAT, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye; Mr. İbrahim YUMAKLI, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry; Mr. Mustafa GÜLTEPE, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM); Mr. Nihat UYSALLI, Chairman of the Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Sector Board; and Mr. Celal KADOOĞLU, Member of the TİM Board of Directors and Vice Chairman of the Sector Board.
The opening day also featured the panel entitled “Food Export Vision and the Foodist Impact – Presidents’ Session.” The panel brought together Mr. Mehmet Ali KILIÇKAYA, Director General for Exports; Mr. Nihat UYSALLI, Chairman of the Sector Board; Mr. Celal KADOOĞLU, Member of the TİM Board of Directors and Vice Chairman of the Sector Board; Mr. Kazım TAYCI, Vice Chairman of the Sector Board; Sector Board Members and Exporters’ Association Chairmen Mr. Veysel MEMİŞ, Mr. Muhammet ÖZTÜRK, Mr. Avşin KAŞIKCI and Mr. Eren Günhan ULUSOY; Mr. Melih ŞAHİNÖZ, President of ETÜDER; and Mr. Demir ŞARMAN, President of TGDF. The session was moderated by Mr. Ahmet TİRYAKİOĞLU, former Chairman of the Sector Board. During the panel, participants shared their assessments of the food sector’s export vision and future outlook.
On the final day of the fair, food manufacturing companies were also visited by Mr. Mustafa VARANK, Member of Parliament for Bursa, Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye’s Committee on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology, and former Minister of Industry and Technology.
A tasting event was also organized at the Sector Board stand, where products from member companies were presented to visitors. Member companies and representatives of the sector were also welcomed at our stand throughout the fair.
Through the visits, meetings, and activities held as part of Foodist Istanbul 2026, current developments in international markets and the export agenda of the cereals, pulses, oilseeds and products sector were discussed, while the fair provided an opportunity to bring together representatives from across the sector.
