The Sectoral Purchasing Delegation programme organised by the Southeast Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association for Ghana, Benin and Togo was successfully completed on 25-26 November 2025 in Gaziantep. Preparatory work for the West African market was carried out through preliminary delegation visits conducted prior to the programme.
During the preliminary delegation visits, our Ambassadors and Trade Counsellors in Ghana, Benin and Togo, as well as sectoral institutions and organisations, supermarket chains and import companies were visited. The current dynamics of the sector were observed on site, information about Turkish cereals, pulses and oilseeds was shared, and potential buyers were invited to the purchasing delegation programme. The delegation also attended the 29 October Republic Day Reception organised by the Turkish Embassy in Lome, where products specific to Gaziantep were also showcased.
The Sectoral Procurement Delegation programme commenced on 25 November with opening speeches by Celal Kadooğlu, Chairman of the GAİB Cereals, and Sheikh Abdul Nasiru-Deen, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana. Companies from Ghana, Benin and Togo participated in the programme, which included B2B bilateral business meetings with Turkish export companies. During the meetings, productive contacts were established between the purchasing delegations and Turkish companies, while on the last day of the programme, foreign buyers conducted field visits to the production facilities of Turkish companies. As part of the programme, the 35 companies from West Africa held nearly 1,000 business meetings with around 100 Turkish companies, providing them with the opportunity to develop new partnerships and gain a closer understanding of the products.
