OAİB Cereals Organized Sectoral Trade Delegation in Japan

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and organized by the Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, a Food Sectoral Trade Delegation Program covering Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, was held on 10–15 November 2025. The program commenced on 11 November 2025 in Tokyo with B2B meetings. Following the opening remarks by Oğuzhan Ertuğrul, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Tokyo, Sedat Yıldız, Commercial Counsellor in Tokyo, delivered a presentation on Türkiye–Japan trade relations. Musa Demir, Secretary General of OAİB, provided information on the sector’s export potential and opportunities in the Japanese market. As part of the delegation program, the Osaka Chamber of Commerce was visited on 13 November 2025, where bilateral business meetings were held with Japanese companies. On the final day of the program, visits were paid to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the All Japan Supermarket Association to assess opportunities for enhancing bilateral trade cooperation. Through the engagements in Tokyo and Osaka, the production capacity and export products of the Turkish food sector were introduced to Japanese counterparts, with the program aiming to lay the groundwork for new partnerships in the Japanese market.
