OAİB Cereals UR-GE Delegation Holds Talks in South Korea

The Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters' Association organized a visit to the Seoul Food & Hotel fair, held in Goyang, South Korea from 9 to 12 June 2026, under the UR-GE Project aimed at increasing the export potential of companies operating in Çorum. The delegation, made up of representatives from the eight companies participating in the project, examined new opportunities in the Far East market on site. Chairman of the Board Avşin Kaşıkcı visited the member companies' stands on the opening day and exchanged views with participants on current market conditions. On the second day of the programme, the delegation called on Seoul Commercial Counsellor Özlem Üntez at her office to discuss the dynamics of the South Korean food sector. Following the fair, the programme continued with field work: leading retail chains and food wholesalers in the country were visited, and the market's consumption and distribution networks were analysed. The visit programme also included a high-level meeting with the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA). In the talks led by Avşin Kaşıkcı, the development of commercial relations between Türkiye and South Korea, increasing the volume of food trade and cooperation opportunities for the period ahead were discussed in detail.
