The Cereals Sector’s Demands Have Been Communicated to Economic Policy Makers

Ahmet Tiryakioğlu, Chairman of the TİM Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Sector Board, attended the Extended Board of Chairmen Meeting organised by the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM), which brought together high-level representatives of economic policy makers. At the meeting, which was also attended by Dr. Fatih Karahan, Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB), and Mustafa Gültepe, Chairman of TİM, Tiryakioğlu highlighted the strategic importance of the cereals and pulses sector within the current economic landscape and shared the exporters’ priority needs. During the meeting, discussions focused on the sector’s stabilising role in domestic food prices and the sustainability of measures supporting price stability, particularly given that combating inflation is the primary priority at this time.
