Foodex Japan 2025, one of the world's most important food fairs, was held at Tokyo Big Sight between 11-14 March. Türkiye introduced a wide range of products to the Japanese market with its stand numbered E1-A19-55 in East Hall 1 at this great meeting, where Türkiye took part with national participation for the 25th time. On the first day of the fair, Turkish Ambassador to Tokyo, Oğuzhan Ertuğrul, Chief Commercial Counsellor Mukaddes Nur Yılmaz and Commercial Counsellor Güzide Zeynep Karahisarlı visited the Turkish stand and exchanged views with exporters. Nihat Uysallı and Muhammet Öztürk, Deputy Chairmen of the Sector Board, Veysel Memiş, AKİB Coordinator Chairman and AHBİB Chairman of the Board of Directors, and other union representatives took part in the tasting events organised to promote Turkish food products and made efforts to increase the awareness of Turkish products in the Japanese market. Different names from the unions representing Türkiye's strong export items such as aquaculture products, olive oil, dried fruits and cereals also took part in the fair and demonstrated the strength of the sector in the global market.
